With more than 60 years of combined commercial real estate expertise, Rob and Lorne approach residential renovation differently than typical investors. Today, Rob directs Gersch Properties’ residential platform—acquiring, renovating, and delivering high-quality single-family homes—combining an investor’s rigor with design-forward execution. His capital-markets depth, team leadership, and partner network underpin a disciplined approach that balances smart acquisitions, thoughtful renovations, and sell/lease strategies to meet evolving demand.

Also, the co-founder of Pathfinder Partners, a San Diego–based private equity firm with $2B+ in acquisitions across multifamily, office, and residential assets nationwide. At Pathfinder, he helped build one of the West’s leading middle-market investment platforms, overseeing 100+ institutional properties through multiple cycles. At Gersch, Lorne leads capital structuring, investor relations, and platform growth. With 35+ years spanning real estate law, investing, and fund management, he brings deep institutional experience to the firm’s capital markets strategy. He also co-led Pathfinder’s expansion into single-family—recapitalizing renovation and rental ventures that mirror Gersch Properties’ value-add focus. Before co-founding Pathfinder in 2006, Lorne practiced as a senior real estate attorney. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in Economics from Duke University.
